I love music and I'm so grateful for all the gifts it has brought to my life. In May 2011, I took a huge leap of faith and moved from Iowa down to Austin for a year, to study at Rubicon Artist Development and make my first EP. This post and the video below are a good little introduction to that story:

    GoJindy Benefit Concert! Sat. 7/7!

My friend Samantha is one half of the creative team behind GoJindy.  She and Danielle have been teaching awesome craft sessions for kids in Fairfield, and they are working to open a dedicated space for kids to be creative and for their parents to hang out too!

I was lucky enough to grow up with a mom who was always finding crafts for me and my brothers to make as kids, and I think that creative, resourceful spirit she instilled in me serves me to this day to find solutions in so many areas of my life.  Plus crafts are just fun, and having a place to go have fun, especially in the winter, is way important!

So I was really excited with Samantha asked me to play at their fundraiser concert, because I totally support the cause!  I’m opening for the awesome local band Haven - Rebecca Haven, Tom Todar, Casper Huggins and Joe Overmyer.

I don’t think they have a website yet, but here’s a video of them performing at an open mic a couple weeks ago:
