Heather Miller Music

I'm still figuring it out, but one thing I know for certain is I love music and I'm so grateful for all the gifts it has brought to my life. In May 2011, I took a huge leap of faith and moved from Iowa down to Austin for a year, to study at Rubicon Artist Development and make my first EP. This post and the video below are a good little introduction to that story:

    About Me

    Milestones

    1) I wore out a capo & had to buy a new one! I mean, it’s been years, but wow, I didn’t know I could do that.

    2) My guitar has scratch marks on the pick guard and surrounding it.  I’ve been playing the darn thing more!  And with a pick, so you can hear me.

    3) I’ve done 76 open mic/showcase type performances since June.  When I got here in May, I couldn’t even play one song for my producer/coach/mentor.  Last night I played a 6 song set and then a 5 song set in a bar.  11 songs in one night!  Without my book!  Not too many people were listening, but I gave it my all and felt really good about myself at the end.

    4) I have 5 songs picked out to record for the EP

    5) We’re looking at March to record.

I’m gonna have an EP y’all.

    I’m gonna have an EP!

    HECK YES!
